Last night, the NBA rebooted its season from the bubble – Walt Disney World in Orlando. Night one featured a doubleheader that did not disappoint, with both games coming down to the last moments.
In Game 1, the Jazz and Pelicans reminded us why we missed basketball in their 106-104 thriller. The Jazz claimed the win and maintain the 4th playoff seed in the West, while the Pelicans are still fighting for the last playoff berth in the West and currently trail the Memphis Grizzlies by 6 games.
Jordan Clarkson led all scores for the Jazz, coming off the bench to log 23 Points, 5 Rebounds, & 3 Assists
Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell each contributed 20 Points each
Rudy Gobert, who was one of the first NBA players to test positive for the Coronavirus, logged a double-double – 14 points and 12 Rebounds, including two points from the foul line late in the game to clinch the win
For the Pelicans
Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 23 Points & 8 Rebounds
JJ Redick added 21 Points and 4 Rebounds from the bench
Zion Williamson added 13 points in only 15 minutes of action but sat for much of the 4th Quarter
In Game 2, The Lakers and Clippers Renewed their rivalry and did not disappoint. The Lakers beat the Clippers -103 – 101.
Anthony Davis finished with 34 Points & 8 Rebounds
LeBron added 16 Points, 11 Rebounds & 7 Assists, his final two points clinching the game for the Lakers.
For the Clippers
Paul George finished with 30 Points and 5 Rebounds
Kahwi Leonard finished with 28 Points & 4 Rebounds
With the Win, Lebron passes Kobe for 9th All-Time in Wins
The Lakers remain 1st in the Western Conference Playoff Race while the Clippers remain in 2nd Place
